Kevin is Ewing Professor of Audiology at the University of Manchester and honorary Consultant Clinical Scientist at Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. Before taking up the position of programme director for the NIHR (research arm of NHS) Research for Patient Benefit Programme, he was Director of the Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness (ManCAD), Deputy Director of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and theme lead for Hearing Health. He is an NIHR Senior Investigator, the only audiologist with this distinction, and former Chair of the British Society of Audiology.
